I am so surprised that this has made it around the innernets! That vid was shot by a friend during our November 2006 private visit with Mei Xiang and her cub, Tai Shan. You can hear me laughing and talking in the background. After it happened, the keeper on duty, Brenda, asked us if we saw what happened because she was putting bamboo in yard 2 and suddenly saw Tai's head poking around the corner.
That wasn't his first escape through the opening in the door, but it was the first where he had live witnesses.
