Okay so while doing our everlasting D&D game this Saturday, Beth got a text message on her asking if she knows anyone that wants to buy two tickets for the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball in Hollywood next Saturday. And of course most of the people around in the game already had tix and are going. They all turned to us and eyed us? Guess what happened next.
We are going to this sold out event.
Now the mister has his outfit already with the exception of a mask. He is wearing his wedding outfit that is utterly perfect for it. I will work on getting or making a mask for him in the upcoming week. Now for me, not soo good.
The dress I wanted to wear for it does not fit because of my damned things on my chest. Yes, those things! Ugh. The one time I don't want them to be large so that I can fit into something. So with that being noted, I have utterly no idea what to wear. Till I went shopping with Brangela today at Michael's and got totally inspired to create my own costume. And its going to be something I have never done before.
I am going to attempt to make and be a Woodland Elf/Druid/Fairy for this ball. And I am going to basically make this costume from scratch. I already have the headpiece for it. Now I have to get tons of plastic foliage of assorted colors, pointed ears, make a staff, and get ready to glue and sow like there is NO tomorrow. Thank goodness the wonderful and talented Angela is going to make a skirt for me. This should be really interesting if it comes out well. As the costume progresses, I will post pictures on here.
If the process of making this thing doesn't kill me first.

I couldn't get my old Georgian to fit me, either. I should have figured. I made it 10-25 pounds ago. I shall be wearing last year's costume after all!
