I can't believe they are touring!!!

So today we were going to the local San Diego Swap meet that is held in a parking lot of an arena called iPayOne Center at the Sport Area. As we were driving in I noticed the light marquee say in really bold lighted scolling letters 'GUNS N ROSES'.

My first thought "Nah, it can't be THEEE 'November-Rain-and-Welcome-to-the-Jungle' Guns N Roses."

I looked at the sign again but by now it was scrolling and flashing some other information. I tried to stare at is as long as I could before Felixx drove out of range hopping to see what I thought I just saw. But it didn't pop up again.

So a few minutes ago, I decided to head over to the TicketBASTARD website and look around to see what shows were in the SD area that might be interesting:

Covenant.

Massive Attack.

Gnarls Barkley.

The Stills.

Psychedelic Furs ("Whoa... they are still around AND performing?").

Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

OH MY FUCKING GOD IT IS GUNS N FUCKING ROSES!!!!

Honestly, when the hell did this happen? Did I like miss the release of Chinese Democracy during my moving trip? Did hell actually froze over and Satan moved into the strip joints of SD?

The tickets are set a $75 no matter where your seat is, including no seating pit level. So after all the fees, it will end up at $90 a person. Now as much as love GnR and how it was a big part of my musical education, I really don't know if I really want to pay $90 to see an much older Axel with blond Jamaican vacationer braids belt out "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE.... WE GOT FUN AND GAMES..."

But even if I didn't go see them, it is kinda cool that he decided to tour again.

Now if I can only fucking hear Chinese Democracy in full and not the fucking leaked demos. Maybe that would make it worth paying the $90.

I hear tell he's randomly cancelled and/or not shown up for a lot of his West Coast events. So it may not be worth the cash ....but man, that'd be entertaining. ;)
