So on this last half hour of Labor Day weekend, I am spending the rest of it easing into the thought of working for a new company for the first time starting tomorrow. And its pretty comforting and I am very excited and can't wait for this new challenge.
This past weekend we spent a few days helping our friends Brennan and Michelle packing their house for their move to San Antonio. And today I was able to do some family photos for them at the beautiful Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach. We will be doing more sometime during the week before they leave permanently on Saturday.
We have also been taking in the sights while also hitting the beach. And as such I have found a new hobby: boogie boarding. It is one of the most exciting things I have ever done and intend to do it for a while. I never though riding rough waves would be so much fun. Yes, in SoCal the ocean has real waves and they fucking can KNOCK YOU ON YOUR ASS. In Florida you only get waves when a hurricane comes by. At certain spots of La Jolla Shores, the waves are like hurricane style every day. If you are not prepared, you can get a serious beating. Since I have been to the beach twice if not three times and by the end of each trip, I was sore all over. It literally is a work out just trying to stay standing up in the ocean. Now throw in the act of boogie boarding, it just about equates to a full body workout. I was aching in place I didn't even know I had muscles. And trying to swim in this ocean mean you have to be really good at diving down between the waves and surfacing to continue your swim. Let's just say I have not mastered that yet.
Well time for bed. Till next time folks!
