If everything works out (pending drug test and background check) I should be a brand spanking new employee of Charles River Laboratories as a Transgenic Technologist. And I don't think they are going to have any issues with either one of those things so I should be good to go.
I must thank my friend Miss Shannon and her awesome friend Rat Master Mike for the heads up and for pointing me to towards that job.
This job is sort of like my previous job only I don't have to deal with sitting behind a desk. Its going to be lots of physical work but at least I get to wear comfortable shoes, listen to my iPod while working, and I get to have the leasure of doing stuff at my own pace. I was even told that after my probationary training period I get to have the flexiblity of coming in when I wanted in the morning. The job is very independent oriented and there is no one there to micro manage me. According to the person who interviewed me, as long as I get my tasks done they are happy.
The interview lasted a good solid 20 minutes and right after they took me for a tour of the facility. Right afterwards the offered me the job by giving me an Offer of Employment letter for me to read and sign. Man, was I shocked. They made me an offer right then and there! While I was interviewing for the position, the human resource person from Scripps Research Institute was calling me on my cell phone. And I forgot to turn the damn thing off! She left a voicemail saying that she wanted to ask me some questions and to call her back. It's been TWO FUCKING weeks since I interviewed with them and only NOW they are getting back to me to ask me a question. Ugh!
Now I will spend the next few days reading up on some books that I have to give myself a refresher on Transgenics and their care.
