No rest for those who were overstuffed on the Chinese New Year festivities. I had to go to work for a half day today and since I had some cash remaining I decided to take a step forward towards my new year's resolution. Went to Mission Valley and realize how fucking hard it is to find a good pair of running shoes for women. Why is all the sports apparel geared towards men? An example of what I mean? Well in Mission Valley there is a about eight different shoes stores; one of them is a Foot Locker and they sell only men's athletic shoes and the rest of the shoes stores are casual or dress shoes stores. Apparently there was a Ladies Foot Locker but it has been closed. Now, as I walked around the mall I realized all the stores that are geared for women's footwear sell only dress shoes. There were no stores geared for women's athletic shoes. Sure, Sports Chalet was there but they women's athletic shoes selection was half the size of the men's selection.
So this leads me to believe two things: 1) women in mass are shallow and only genuinely care about how they look but in now way are interested in fitness or 2) companies are molding women INTO shallow human beings and teaching them your looks are important and your health and level of fitness is really not.
Seriously, how the hell do you expect to wear those awesome patent leather stilettos with rhinestones embellishments if you are 250lbs?
Yeah, by the time I found a decent pair of cross trainers, I was pretty much disgusted with the mall.
Oh, recently I developed a love for nail polish. Been getting manicure for a while but I just love wearing different nail colors. I have to admit its totally not like me but I don't know where I am getting this infatuation with nail color from. So while shopping I found something called Nic's Stick by Opi. It's nail polish in a stick form and all I do is press the top it and it dispenses the nail lacquer. I got three, tried and and found it really cool and handy. The colors are pretty, they dry fast and its really fast and easy to use.
Okay enough girlie shit.
As for the Chinese New Year festivities, it will have to wait because the San Diego chapter of The League of Gentlemen Adventurers document the whole dinner party and will post it on their adventuring blog. Will provide the link once it is up.
Back to baking... Here's to hoping that the co-workers will like it and appreciate it. If not, fuck them.
