Now Playing: Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge

Click here to hear it on the band's MySpace profile.

For some reason I will not take this song off my iPod. I am utterly entranced by it. The vocals remind me of Interpol but music reminds me of Gary Numan. And if you listen to the lyrics they are sort of romantic and yet scarily obsessive. The other songs on their profile is pretty good but Tear You Apart is just... addicting.

Well, one more day of work before my first four day weekend holiday since starting this job. And so far I am on task though my cold is kicking my ass. It is sucking the energy out of me in the middle of the day. Oh, just need to hang on for one more day... Then its off to Riverside with my Bar Harbor Corn Casserole (See receipe at the end of this blog).

And yes M, I would love your chicken barley soup receipe. Sounds like something both me and the mister would like to have even when neither one of us is sick.

Now where the hell is my Aqua Teen Hunger Force?! *makes at fist at tv*

Bar Harbor Corn Casserole

1 Box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
8 0z Sour Cream
4 oz Butter, melted and cooled (I really use 2 oz and its just as yummy)
2 Eggs
1 - 14 oz can Corn Kernels, drained
1 - 14 oz can Creamed Corn

Mix all of the above ingredients and pour in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 t0 40 minutes till golden brown on top. Cool slightly and serve.

This casserole has a consistancy of a light cornbread if not a corn cake. It can be served cut up into squares or you can place the whole thing on the table and let people scoop it out. I got this dish when I was in Maine during a surgical training workshop. I was staying in this wonderful manor house and the lady of the house made a wonderful Lobster dinner and served this casserole with it.

So if you make it, let me know if you like it.
