I went to my second interview at Scripps Research Institute on Friday and now I have to wait a week for them to even see if they will call me back. It's one of those "Don't call us, we will call you" situations. And I got the feeling that I am too over qualified for the position so I am not sure if they will call me to hire me.
So in the meantime I am going to continue to apply to other companies for the same line of work. If I can't find anything in the field that I want in the next two weeks then its time to apply at coffee joints, supermarkets, and other lower wage places just so I can start making SOME money. I have never been unemployed for this long and its basically driving me nuts. And it doesn't help that I don't have internet at home and I have to go to coffee places to use the internet.
I want to play Guild Wars like crazy!
Otherwise, life has been pretty good. We are nearly out of all of our boxes and we are almost settled in our new apartment. We still need to get a few small pieces of furniture to really make it feel like a home but we can hold off on those for a bit. We finally got gas on Friday and we were jumping for joy for hot water. Cold showers suck!
Oh, on a bit interesting news, I will be doing my first photography gig this weekend or next weekend for a couple that are friends with Felixx. They want me to shoot their family portraits with my manual before they move to Texas. So let's see how it works. I took some test shots yesterday and I have to develop those to see if the camera works properly and if I still got 'Tha Skillz'.
Okay, back to job hunting.
