So here's an update with photos. Check this out:

Uh, that's right. It's a Jedi costume. I made it in 2 days and one night. No, seriously. Look, more:
Yeah, with a classic cloak. Made that bitch in 6 hours from pattern to finish. All I can say it, I like to thank my beloved sewing machine. So what is all this for you ask?
Well last week El Mister go invited to do a performance event at Sony Picture Studio and I attended a rehearsal meeting with him just so he didn't bitch at me for not supporting him in his hobbies. Somehow during this meeting I end up agreeing to participate in this event. Now I had said previously that I was going to make a Jawa costume ( I still am just haven't started due to complications with stuff) but I don't have one or any Star Wars costume. People involved in the performance said that they would lend me some of their garb. But as we were heading home I felt the urge for a challenging coming on. The next morning I was at Wal-Mart buying patterns and fabrics at a dollar a yard. And the next thing you know... Ta DA! I love a good challenge.
So the event is tomorrow in L.A. and I am almost finished. I need to hem the cloak and that is pretty much it. El Mister created that belt for me from the left over leather I have from making my Jawa Bandoliers. It's not movie authentic but damn close enough and really functional.
Yes, I still intend to make a Jawa costume. Only the goal is to finish it by Comic-Con 2008 instead of Halloween. Looks like I will be a Jedi for Halloween this year.
Yeah, I am totally excited about this!
