A beautiful moment of Zen...

This morning as I am driving north on the 5 on the way to work, I have 94.9 tuned in and it starts to play the long instrumental intro to U2's Where the Streets Have No Name. And as I turn this curve, with the song's intro building slowly, the sun starts to peak over this ridge outside my passanger side window. And just as the sun crest over the ridge, spreading it golden rays out and over, the song hits it climatic intro point. All this happened in a few seconds and as my eyes and ears bore witness this incidental syncronicity, it just almost brought me to tears on how beautiful it was. Just that small moment made me realize how beautiful it was to be in San Diego.

And funny enough, on my drive home, just as I got on the same streach of high as this morning, the same song came on again nearly at the same point where I had that beautiful moment.

Honestly amazing.

Sometimes I think the world is in sync with my level of happiness.

beautiful, even if it was U2. ;) i have had things like that happen to me before on the road. for some reason, socal is just more cinematic than the rest of the world.

with soundtracks even.
