Fortune favors the bold... with a price.

So yesterday we found out that Depeche Mode decided to cancel their Fort. Lauderdale concert. They cancel their first STOP on their world tour and they announce it the day before the concert. And of course, seething anger started to course through my veins. The second concert that I was most looking forward was cancelled. All because of what Hurricane Wilma caused. But to be honest with you, there really was no reason to cancel the concert. The arena that they were going to perform in has power and does not have any damage. The curfew is not an issue because it only applies to pedestrians not driven vehicles. So they completely flaked out and is not even going to reschedule a new later date. Whatever. They can go fuck themselves.

Afterwards while I was online, a friend of mine Cliff, reminded me that he still has a few spare tickets to two NIN shows for this weekend in Philly and Wilkes-Barre. He originally offered them to me when he found out that the Fort. Lauderdale NIN show was cancelled but at that time I didn't take it.

But now with this freaking double whammy I decided to take a chance to see if I can actually do this and pull off a last minute trip.

Well, let's just say that I am leaving Friday morning and will be return on Monday afternoon. This has got to be THE most impulsive trip that I have ever taken. But the offer is so rare that I don't think I would be able to come by it ever again. Needless to say, I offer a great deal of thanks to Cliff and others for this.

But this trip has its price and hopefully it won't be too high of a price to pay.
